The Murlac Silt Socks are designed to fit on the end of a 4″ water pump and are secured using a tie or pipe clip. The silt sock is pumped with silty water, trapping particles 90 microns or greater within the sock. Many other products similar to silt socks are designed to stop 100 or 180 microns, therefore the Murlac Silt Sock stops more sediment without compromising the flow rates required. Our standard Silt Sock is designed to contain 0.04m3 of sediment.
Our Silt Dewatering Bags are smaller versions of our Silt Tubes and are designed for over pumping and larger scale dewatering applications. Murlac can manufacture the Dewatering Bags into any size and use different geotextile materials depending on the sediment to be contained.
